Die Lowlands umfassen mit den Zentren Glasgow und Edinburgh das industrielle Kernland Schottlands. Hergestellt werden Malts mit einem milden und weichen Geschmack. Auffallend sind Anklänge an Gras, Getreide und Zitrusfrüchte, ohne geschmackliche Extreme aufzuweisen.
